About

I'm an English professor who specializes in James Joyce, the 20th century English novel, and Modernism, with strong sub-interests in the works of Wyndham Lewis, the history of film, avant-garde music, and 20th century experimentation in visual art. I'm also Director of Graduate Studies for the MA Program in English at Wake Forest University.

I'm the author of "The Fictions of James Joyce and Wyndham Lewis: Monsters of Nature and Design," which Cambridge University Press reissued in paper in 2006:

I have also edited the 1928 text of Wyndham Lewis's novel "Tarr" for Oxford University Press, which will appear in late 2010 as part of the Oxford World Classics paperback series.

My current projects include editing Ford Madox Ford's novel "The Good Soldier" for the Longman Cultural Editions Series, which will appear in 2011.
