About
I specialize in Modernism and the 20th century English novel, with strong interests in the works of James Joyce and Wyndham Lewis, the history of film, avant-garde music, and 20th century experimentation in visual art. I'm currently Chair of the English department at Wake Forest University.
I'm the author of "The Fictions of James Joyce and Wyndham Lewis: Monsters of Nature and Design," which Cambridge University Press reissued in paper in 2006:

I have also edited Wyndham Lewis's novel "Tarr" (the 1928 text), as part of the Oxford World Classics series (2010):

My current projects include editing Ford Madox Ford's novel "The Good Soldier" for the Longman Cultural Editions Series (under contract), and a co-edited volume "A Modernist Cinema," with Michael Valdez Moses (Department of English, Duke University).
